Biology Tutoring

Having some trouble with biology?
Tackle the subject head on, with some help...

Common challenges students face with biology:

  • What is genetic engineering and why is it so important?
  • How does Darwin's theory of evolution explain how species change?
  • What is the difference between transcription and translation in a cell? Why is it so important in protein synthesis?

There's a lot to understand, and biology can easily become overwhelming...

With a little assistance, you can get better grades in your biology classes and emerge with a better understanding of the material. Everybody has their own way of learning, and sometimes you just need somebody to explain the subject matter in a way that suits your individual needs.

I have more than 20 years of experience teaching science as a New York State high school teacher and private tutor. I've taught biology in private tutoring sessions and in the classroom to many, many students. I know what it takes to help students not only improve their grades and test results, but also to actually "get it" and understand the material.

Is there a specific area within biology that you're struggling with? Would you like to learn more about how having a private tutor for biology can help? I would be happy to talk with you and your child. No pressure, no obligation. I promise.

"Biology can be a fairly boring subject, but Mr. Tier makes it lively and interesting. My son enjoys his lessons and Mr. Tier's teaching style. Mr. Tier is a great teacher, patient, and always on time."
